block printed napkins
A band of leggy, minimal palm leaf inspired print is hand stamped across creamy cotton. Cleverly placed to peek through whichever way you fold your napkin.
Block printing is an ancient art form which still continues today in full strength. There are a multitude of steps, from curing the wood for days to carefully chiseling out the design by hand before the stamp even touches the fabric. When ready to print, the craftsman stamps the design in straight lines and match repeats freehand with impressive accuracy. Not a single machine features in this process.
